The Victor Center pursues its mission through partnerships with local clinical and community-based organizations. Our experience and that of our partners yield important lessons regarding the implementation of community-based initiatives which are, in turn, used to enhance the effectiveness of our work with new partners.
Provider and community organizations interested in promoting local preconception genetic education, screening and counseling programs are encouraged to contact us for more information about partnering with the Victor Center. Victor Center resources include curriculum developed medical geneticists and genetic counselors; educational materials for use in clinical, consumer and community campaigns; technology platforms including a partner portal and an on-line donation option; and technical assistance to familiarize partners with Victor Center resources.
Community building has frequently been the result of “champions” whose lives have been changed because of a child or family affected by a Jewish genetic disease. We’re here to support you, your healthcare providers and congregations, and your professional and peer groups in promoting preconception genetic education, screening and counseling in your community.
